Here's another photo shoot in celebration of another birthday (Happy Birthday J!!). For this photo shoot, J wanted to show off her unique style. She LOVES sneakers, but she also likes a feminine look as well. I actually learned something new that day. Her style has a name to it, and it's called "sneaker head." Yes, J is a "sneaker head", and loves her look! Not to mention her awesome hair! Not everyone can rock that look, but J sure does, and she does it well : )

The style for this shoot was definitely different, and it was a lot of fun. Here are some of my favorites:

Fairfield, Ca- Lifestyle Photographer/Newborn

Hello and happy spring! The weather has been nice, and I am back to shooting more now : )

To those of you that are following my blog, I would like to talk about newborn photography. As many of you may know, I am not a studio photographer. Currently I offer sessions on location only. That means that I will travel to your home, or any other location within a 25 mile radius from Fairfield, CA. This is extremely important for new parents and new babies!  Newborn sessions are much more convenient and comfortable this way : )

What is my style when it comes to photographing newborns? Newborn lifestyle photography will be my focus. What is lifestyle photography? It is more natural, and less posed. That means that I will capture images of mommy and daddy holding their newborn, snuggles, kisses, and tender moments spent together as a family, doing every day things in your home : ) The backdrop might be a rocking chair, the family sofa, mommy and daddy's bedroom, or any other special location in your home. I will still bring some props and backdrops, but lifestyle images will be the focus. Why do I prefer this style? Because it really reflects life as it was when your baby was so tiny and sweet : ) I also enjoy capturing these special moments.

So here is an example of a lifestyle newborn session.

This session was very near and dear to my heart. I have known baby E's mommy since Junior High School, and I have known her daddy since High School. It is so lovely to see them enjoying their new baby girl, and it was a privilege to spend time in their home capturing these unforgettable memories for them.

I have been crazy busy lately, and have not updated this blog in a while. Life as a mom that wears many hats can get crazy!!

Here are some images that I wanted to share from one of my recent sessions. High School Senior sessions are always fun because teens love to show off their personalities, and it it fun to provide them with variety for their senior photos. Here are a few of my favorites....
